The LVMH-owned beauty retailer’s ninth UK store will open in Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre this summer as it continues its shop roll out plan

Sephora has kicked its UK retail expansion plan up another notch with the announcement of another new store opening.

The LVMH-owned beauty retailer is set to open its ninth UK store in Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping centre in Yorkshire this summer.

It will be located on the high street of the upper level of the centre, which has more than 290 retail stores and 50 places to eat and drink.

The move is part of Sephora Global President and CEO Guillaume Motte’s plan to have 20 stores in the UK by 2027.

“We are thrilled to continue our exciting UK expansion plans with the opening of our first store in Yorkshire at Meadowhall in Sheffield,” said Sephora UK Managing Director Sarah Boyd.

“We spent the last year refining our incredible in-store experiences as we rolled out our first batch of regional stores.

“Highlighting our dedication and commitment to being inclusive, accessible and connected to the communities we serve.

“Meadowhall is the perfect location for us to continue driving that experience in this dynamic, thriving region.

“And our team is eager to welcome customers to our beauty playground.”

Sephora currently has seven stores across the UK, based in shopping destinations like Manchester’s Trafford Centre, Newcastle’s Eldon Square and MetroCentre and Birmingham’s Bullring.

As well as London Westfield’s White City and Stratford City shopping centres, and Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent.

The retailer’s eighth shop will launch in Liverpool this spring.

Sephora’s new Yorkshire-based store promises a curated selection of local and global brands that have “disrupted” the beauty industry.

Makeup by Mario, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga and Tarte Cosmetics are among the brands that will be stocked, alongside Sephora’s own-brand collection.

Darren Pearce, Centre Director at Meadowhall, said the centre is “incredibly excited” about Sephora’s impending arrival.

“The iconic beauty brand has taken the UK by storm and being one of the first places Sephora has chosen for a store is fantastic,” said Pearce.

“Sephora’s in-store experiences, extensive range and exclusive brands that have been so popular across the globe will undoubtedly be a huge hit with our visitors.

“And we know they will be just as excited as us about the opening.”

Sephora has been on a roll success-wise, boosting parent company LVMH's sales and having been named the most influential US beauty business of 2024.
