YSL Beauty has signed Brazilian actress and model Bruna Marquezine as its latest ambassador.

The Blue Beetle star will make her debut appearance for the L'Oréal-licensed brand in its Sweet Like Candy campaign, promoting YSL’s Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick.

She will also star in campaigns for the brand's Couture Mini Clutch eyeshadow quad, Lash Clash Mascara and Touche Éclat Brightening Pen.

The 28-year-old will also feature in social media, digital and out-of-home (OOH) marketing and red carpet appearances for the brand.

"Not only have I been using YSL Beauty make-up products for years, but I share so many values with the iconic brand, including the importance of authenticity, inclusivity and uplifting females,” said Marquezine.

“Together, I hope we can showcase the underlying strength that lies within beauty.

“Beauty is subjective, which has always been so empowering to me. I'm going to own my looks and I hope you do too – and that you feel so proud doing so.”

Marquezine joins YSL Beauty’s growing line-up of ambassadors including model Lila Moss, rapper Lil Nas X and K-pop star Danielle Marsh.

YSL Beauty said that she “embodies a fresh take on fearless femininity and effortless edge to a new gloss-obsessed generation of make-up consumers”.

Marquezine’s appointment is also said to reinforce YSL Beauty’s presence and commitment to the Latinx community, according to the brand.

"YSL Beauty celebrates a limitless mindset that encourages empowerment through the creative expression of make-up,” said Emilie Poisson, General Manager of YSL Beauty US.

“We're excited to welcome Bruna Marquezine who epitomises this spirit, bringing an effortless edge and unapologetic confidence to inspire everyone to embrace their own beauty."

Who is Bruna Marquezine?
