Balmain Beauty has entered the prestige fragrance category with the launch of female scent Destin de Balmain.
The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC)-licensed brand’s new refillable floral-fruity eau de parfum is said to capture “the unstoppable energy of the Balmain woman – independent, youthful and unapologetic”.
It is the next phase of the brand’s fragrance rollout – the house's beauty arm created with ELC launched a luxe collection of eight gender-neutral scents, Les Éternels de Balmain, in 2024.
Destin de Balmain is said to be inspired by the Parisian house’s “savoir-faire and modern pulse”, and represent “destiny you hold in your hands”.

The fragrance is housed in a refillable glass cube, capped with signature golden striations and founder Pierre Balmain’s PB monogram.
The chypre formula comprises rosy peony, creamy sandalwood and naturally-sourced strawberry, contrasted with the spicy pepper notes of baies rose.
The fragrance’s floralness deepens with a lily accord and the musky second-skin scent of Ambrexolide to add warmth.

Balmain Beauty's new female scent, Destin de Balmain
“Destin de Balmain features a joyful, optimistic spark of ripe strawberry,” said Perfumer Quentin Bisch.
“The fruit’s juicy vivacity brings bright, elevated sweetness to the composition.
“Notes of peony further convey the feeling of rosy fullness, and notes of creamy sandalwood anchor the fragrance in strength and luminosity.”
It is available worldwide in Balmain boutiques, online, and at select fashion and beauty destinations.
The fragrance comes in a 10ml travel spray (€30), as well as 30ml (€82), 50ml (€115), 100ml (€155) and 150ml (€185) bottles.
Balmain was founded in 1945 and operates stores in London, UK; Milan, Italy; and US cities New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Miami.
The company’s beauty licence is similar to ELC's previous work with US luxury fashion brand Tom Ford and its cosmetics and fragrance ranges.
