Boots has teamed up with British accessories designer Anya Hindmarch on a UK concept store celebrating its pharmacy heritage, alongside a limited edition range of bathroom essentials.
The 1970s‐inspired Anya Hindmarch x Boots concept store will be situated at the designer’s Village Hall, Pont Street, London, site from 10 January to 8 March, and comprise the co-created range of bathroom essentials.
The activation will draw on the UK health and beauty retailer’s “rich history”, echoing the design of classic apothecaries and featuring Boots’ blue and white palette throughout.
Inside, there will also be a homage to the Boots stores of yesteryear, with retro tiling, crisp white coats and dispensary‐inspired packaging.
Hindmarch is a celebrated fashion designer who has previously created limited edition accessories for beauty brands such as L’Oréal, Carmex and Imperial Leather.
“Boots first opened its door as a herbalist store in Nottingham, [UK], in 1849,” said Sophie Clapp, Head of Archive at Boots.
“Over the past 177 years, it has been an integral part of British culture, shaping how people access health and beauty products and services.
“From humble beginnings, Boots has grown into a British high-street institution and a trusted household name, yet our mission to care for customers and communities remains unchanged.
“I am excited to celebrate this rich heritage through Anya Hindmarch’s unique and joyful vision.”

The Boots x Anya Hindmarch Universal Bag
The limited edition Anya Hindmarch X Boots everyday essentials range is priced between £5 and £10, and is described as “fusing the dependability of Boots with the fun of Hindmarch”.
Although the full list of products has not been disclosed yet, all have been designed to “bring a little joy to the bathroom”.
Among them will be two wash bags – First Aid and Meds – which are inspired by antique pieces from the Boots archive.
The collaboration also includes Universal Bag in Boots’ instantly recognisable palette of blue with white accents.
A line-up of Hindmarch’s other new accessory designs, including Berocca, Advil, Band‐Aid Brand, Imperial Leather and Nurofen, will also be available to buy at the store.

“This is a truly iconic collaboration for me,” said Hindmarch.
“Boots is part of the very fabric of the UK.
“The chance to play with, and ‘Anya-ise’ everyday toiletry essentials, has been the most fun project.
“I hope it will animate bathrooms and bring smiles to people’s mornings in January, when we all need a lift.”
The Anya Hindmarch x Boots essentials collection will be available to buy on boots.com (while stock lasts) from 8 March, once the concept store has shut.
