Cacharel makes a break with tradition

The Cacharel group, which markets luxury products and its own brand perfumes under licence, is to leave its historic base in Nimes with the loss of 65 jobs. The company has two sites in the southern French city and has decided to reorganise its commercial activities and re-focus on its core business of the creation of collections and brand management, while giving up its commercialisation, production and distribution operations which will be taken over by licensees.

The company has two sites in the southern French city and has decided to reorganise its commercial activities and re-focus on its core business of the creation of collections and brand management, while giving up its commercialisation, production and distribution operations which will be taken over by licensees.

Some 30 jobs will go in Paris but other jobs will be created. Cacharel has annual sales of about €25m.
