Celebrities rumoured to be launching beauty brands: from Tate McRae to Sydney Sweeney

Celebrity beauty is making a comeback, with actresses Lindsay Lohan and Sydney Sweeney and singers Zara Larsson and Tate McRae are among the famous faces said to be working on their very own beauty lines

Once a celebrity has found fame in one area, it often leads them to seek out fresh success through new avenues, and very often, that is beauty.

Whether they nailed singing or acting, or even both if you’re Selena Gomez or Rhianna, the list of actors, influencers and popstars-turned-entrepreneurs is ever-growing.

Tickets are now available for the 25th anniversary of the Pure Beauty Awards, taking place on 15 October 2026 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, UK. Join the beauty industry for an evening of recognition and celebration as this year’s winners are revealed. Click here to secure your place.

But for every Rare Beauty, Kylie Cosmetics, Fenty Beauty and Rhode – the most successful celebrity-backed beauty brands, founded by Gomez, Kylie Jenner, Rhianna and Hailey Bieber respectively – there is a celebrity beauty brand that failed to make it.

This risk of failure is not a deterrent for a handful of celebrities, however, who are rumoured to have their own beauty brand in the works.

Cosmetics Business rounds up all the mooted celebrity beauty brands in the pipeline, and what we know about them so far…

Tate McRae

Singer Tate McRae could be gearing up to launch her own beauty brand, according to a recent trademark filing.

An application to trademark Tate By Tate McRae was filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on 2 July.

The application, which has been accepted by USPTO for meeting the minimum requirements for a trademark but has not yet been assigned an examiner, covers a range of beauty items.

These include fragrances and non-medicated skin care preparations, such as skin cleansers, skin moisturisers, skin peels, skin serums, body mists and body mousses.

Plus, body lotions and lip glosses, and even candles.

McRae, who first came to fame after appearing in the American dance talent show So You Think You Can Dance at the age of 13, is currently a Global Brand Ambassador for skin care brand Neutrogena.

Lindsay Lohan

Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan is potentially gearing up to launch a beauty brand called Linlo Beauty, according to trademark and financial documents.

A trademark application for Linlo Beauty was made on 2 April this year, according to filings with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Lohan’s business entity Crossheart Productions is listed as the owner.

The filing encompasses a wide range of cosmetics, including body cream, cleansing milk, eye cream, gel eye patches, sunscreen, make-up, nail polish and self-tanning cream.

Lohan revealed last year that she was developing a skin care line.

Sydney Sweeney

Euphoria's Sydney Sweeney is potentially gearing up to create a beauty business following the launch of her lingerie brand Syrn.

Actress Sweeney filed a trademark application with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for a consumer goods business under the Syrn name, focused on skin care preparations, cosmetics and beauty care preparations.

Mylk Studios Inc., a lingerie corporation based in Delaware, US, is listed as the owner of the business in the documents.

The trademark application has been accepted by the USPTO, meaning it has met the minimum filing requirements, but has not yet been assigned to an examiner.

Harper Beckham

Harper Beckham’s reported plans to launch a beauty brand hit an apparent setback in May, after a trademark application for ‘HIKU by Harper’ in the US was blocked.

The 14-year-old daughter of Victoria and David Beckham is rumoured to be following in the footsteps of her mother with the launch of her own beauty brand, after the trademark filings first emerged.

Documents filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) show that a Notice of Provisional Full Refusal was issued on 29 April.

The trademark was refused “because of a likelihood of confusion” with existing trademarked brands in the country.

The USPTO’s decision can still be challenged.

A UK trademark application for ‘HIKU by Harper’ was filed in October 2025.

Victoria shared insight into her daughter’s desire to launch her own skin care line earlier this year, speaking on the podcast, Aspire with Emma Grede, hosted by entrepreneur and Skims co-founder Emma Grede.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian teased what we can expect from the launch of Skims Beauty last year, when she appeared on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.

The business entrepreneur and actress not only confirmed that the new beauty line under her Skims brand is coming, but also some of the products that will make up the collection, including lip liners.

Karshadian’s shapewear company Skims acquired the entrepreneur’s skin care and make-up label SKKN by Kim from Coty last March, as part of a larger brand consolidation last March.

It bought Coty’s 20% minority stake as well as Kardashian’s 80% majority stake, so the reality star’s clothing, cosmetics, skin care and fragrance businesses could be under one umbrella.

In June 2026, Kardashian shut down SKKN by Kim as part of this consolidation, just three years after launching, paving the way for Skims Beauty.

Skims has stirred conversation around its hotly-anticipated beauty line across social media in recent weeks.

Zara Larsson

Singer Zara Larsson, who is known for her maximalist make-up looks created by MUA Sophia Sinot, confirmed during an interview with British radio station Capital FM in June, that the pair have had conversations around the potential launch of a cosmetics product line.

The ‘Lush Life’ and ‘Midnight Sun’ singer was asked by presenter Jimmy Hill if she was planning to launch a make-up line, citing fellow singers-turned-founders Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga (Haus Labs) as successful founders to follow in the footsteps of.

Larsson responded: “I feel like it would make sense.

“We are actually talking about it.

“Nothing has really happened so far, if I am being honest, but obviously me and Sophia – Sophia Sinot who does all my looks – we have spoken about it.

“And she… that is like her dream, you know?

“She is an artist in her craft and the way she does my face, I have tried to and I cannot replicate it.

“She knows exactly what she wants, she knows how to do it, she knows what type of product she would like, so if I would do something…

“That is what I like about Lady Gaga’s brand.

“I feel like it is a collaboration with her and her make-up artist and I feel like that would be something I would be really interested in.”
