Lorience on target to end 2011 with sales of €8m
Company eyes expansion with new scents
Lorience Paris, a small Paris-based company which designs, produces and distributes perfumes under leading brand names, has said it expects to end 2011 with sales of about €8m. Robin Schlang, president and company founder, said the business principle was simple. He pays royalties on the major brands and designs and produces perfumes which will be sold under the brand name. Lorience is currently using two licences - those of Lulu Castagnette and Mauboussin.
Schlang plans to revive and relaunch Empreinte under the Courreges name and will probably follow that up with an Empreinte Mademoiselle. Schlang says there is widespread interest among internet discussion groups in Courreges perfumes and Lorience expects good demand. The Courreges licence is expected to generate some €20m over the next four to five years.
