Ecooking, a skin care brand founded in Denmark, is preparing to land in the UK.

Founded by private label developer Tina Søgaard, the brand’s line-up features shower gel, creams, sunscreen, face masks and clay masks, among others (€5.40-€88.20).

Søgaard created the brand after suffering from a personal skin trauma.

She said: “My skin became more tired and grey than ever before. I lost a lot of weight and it completely collapsed.

“I was cooking up these lotions, scrubs and oils and throwing them in tupperware boxes, jam jars and even Schnapps glasses.”

The brand’s name is a portmanteau of ecological and cooking, chosen to represent the ingredients used in the products and the brand’s heritage.

Today, the brand is stocked in more than 450 locations across Denmark and is set to expand to another 20 countries by the end of 2018.

Across the UK the products will be stocked in Cult Beauty, Feelunique, John Bell & Croyden and Indulge Beauty.
