British heritage fragrance house Penhaligon’s is inviting the public behind its perfumed curtain with a rare, one-day-only exhibition.

Titled ‘Eau So British’, the immersive experience celebrates the brand’s 155th anniversary and will take place at the brand’s London headquarters at 3 Hanover Square on 17 May.

Consumers will be given an exclusive glimpse into its storied past – and bold future.

The event marks the first time in Penhaligon’s history that its private archives will be opened to the public.

Visitors can explore a curated collection of never-before-seen artefacts, including vintage fragrance bottles, original scent formulas, early product sketches and ephemera dating back to the Victorian era.

Julia Koeppen, Global General Manager of Penhaligon’s, told Cosmetics Business: “The Eau So British exhibition was inspired by a simple idea: how do you capture the essence of a brand that’s been delighting noses for over 150 years? The answer? You let people step inside it.
