Pneumag removes the smallest ferrous particles
The PNEUMAG in-line separator removes even the smallest ferrous and magnetised stainless steel contaminants from fine-grained materials, according to its maker S+S Inspection. The new machine features two rows of high-energy N45 permanent magnetic rods to remove contaminants, which provide a magnetic force of 9,000 gauss at the outside of the rod surface. Because the magnets are permanent there is no need for a power supply, making installation and maintenance simple. And an easy clean feature allows the magnetic cores to be extracted from the stainless steel tubes, causing the separated contaminants to fall from the surface.

The PNEUMAG is also designed to allow material flow in either direction in vacuum and pressure pipes up to 250mm diameter and at flow rates of up to 25m/s.
Standard units are fitted with either a Jacobs or drilled flat flange connection and other connections are available to special order. The separator is made from polished 316 Grade stainless steel. Other finishes can be supplied, says S+S.
