Weleda names Douglas and Henkel veteran Tina Müller CEO

Müller takes the helm on 1 October, with plans to grow the Swiss skin care and wellbeing brand’s global operations

Weleda has appointed ex-Douglas boss and Henkel veteran Tina Müller CEO, effective from 1 October. 

Müller will be responsible for further developing the company’s Natural and Organic Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals Divisions.

As well as expanding the Swiss skin care and wellbeing brand’s global operations, guiding it towards “sustainable growth”. 

She will succeed the collective management put in place six years ago following the departure of former Weleda CEO Ralph Heinisch. 

Müller has held several leadership positions within the cosmetic industry, including Group CEO of German beauty chain Douglas.

From 2017 to 2022, she spearheaded the company’s transformation into Europe’s largest beauty retailer.

Müller also worked at German conglomerate Henkel for 18 years in various different positions. 

Her most notable role was Corporate Senior Vice President of Henkel’s Beauty Care Division in Western Europe, growing the exposure of brands Schwarzkopf and Right Guard.

Weleda also onboarded Unilever and Coty veteran Raphael Savalle as its CFO last year.
