Luxury goods conglomerate LVMH (Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton) has posted revenues of 11.4bn EUROS for the first nine months of 2007, an organic growth of 13% compared to the same period in 2006.
The group’s perfumes & cosmetics division reached 12% organic revenue growth to 1.96bn EUROS. LVMH said that performance was particularly strong in Europe and Asia. Strong performance was also recorded at Christian Dior and Guerlain, whose perfume launches, Midnight Poison and L’Instant Magic were hailed as major successes. Fragrance launches from Kenzo (TokoyobyKenzo), Fendi (Palazzo Fendi) and Pucci’s Vivara also contributed to the growth, as did the expanding business of Benefit.
In the selective retailing division, Sephora continue to win market share in Europe and the US, as well as expanding its business to China and the Middle East. Duty free retailer DFS meanwhile benefited from the growing number of Asian travellers, with significant growth in Hong Kong and Singapore.
