Cosmetic winners announced at niche awards

Published: 4-Oct-2007

The fourth annual Beyond Beauty Challenger Awards, which is organised as part of the Beyond Beauty exhibition, currently running in Paris, attracted 68 contenders this year from all over the world. The awards, which recognise innovative young niche brands in the beauty industry, are judged by an international panel of retailers who evaluate each brand through five criteria: innovation/differentiation, concept coherence, quality of communication, texture and fragrance and attractiveness and packaging. The first prize was awarded to high-end brand YesforLov, an intimate brand for couples that is designed to combine care and pleasure. Founder Christian Palix, founder of YesforLov told Cosmeticsbusiness.com: “I think it is the right time to launch this brand as, until now, there have been no cosmetics that speak to couples. It fills a gap in the market because it provides more than a pharmaceutical brand can – it is an innovative pleasure line.”
