Isamaya Ffrench has been appointed to the British Beauty Council’s advisory board.

Ffrench, a former Byredo Creative Director prior to launching her cosmetics brand in 2022, was named alongside make-up artist Lucy Bridge and nail technician Sylvie Macmillan.

Aesthetician Teresa Tarmey, fashion editor and stylist, Kate Phelan, and consultant dermatologist Dr Alexis Granite have also joined the advisory board.

Brands founders Claire Aggarwal and Shavata Singh, as well as perfumer Azzi Glasser and hair stylist Neil Moodie, round off the list of new appointees.

The new members will work with the British Beauty Council to create a “more cohesive” roadmap for the organisation's growth plans starting in 2025.

“There is no doubt that the insights these new appointments will provide to the Council will be impactful and influential,” said Millie Kendall, CEO of the British Beauty Council.

The Council has more than 70 members on its advisory board members, as well as ambassadors including Bobbi Brow and hair stylist Sam McKnight.

Supermodel and brand founder Kate Moss is also an ambassador for the industry body, and was appointed in October 2023.

She has been working with the British Beauty Council to raise awareness and reputation of UK beauty to a global audience.

Influencer and Skin Rocks owner Caroline Hirons was also named as an ambassador in May last year.

“I hope that through their work, the members of the advisory board will continue to aid the Council in its important work in raising the reputation of the industry,” added Kendall.
