The Procter & Gamble Company has confirmed to investors that it expects stronger organic sales in the July to September quarter and fiscal 2010 as a whole at a conference held in Boston yesterday. The company stated that it expects a return to organic sales growth in the October to December quarter, following two quarters of decline.

For the July to September quarter, P&G confirmed that organic sales looked set to grow between 1% and 3%, while the October to December quarter may see organic sales rise by up to 4%, although the impact of foreign exchange will reduce these figures substantially.

The outlook for fiscal 2010 meanwhile is equally positive with organic sales set to rise between 1% to 3% and net sales between zero and 3%. Earnings per share are expected to be between $3.99 and $4.12.
