The former Spice Girls singer revealed on entrepreneur Emma Grede’s podcast how daughter Harper is set on launching a skin care brand following her own struggles with acne

Victoria and David Beckham’s daughter, Harper, could be following in her mother’s footsteps by entering the beauty industry as Victoria reveals her “dreams” of launching a skin care brand.

The Spice Girl-turned-entrepreneur and founder of Victoria Beckham Beauty spoke with entrepreneur and Skims co-founder Emma Grede on her podcast, Aspire with Emma Grede, where she gave insight into her daughter’s desire to launch her own skin care line.

The podcast, launched by Grede in 2025, sees the entrepreneur sit down with business moguls for “honest and unfiltered” conversations.

The beauty industry has long speculated that a skin care line could come from Harper, aged 14, after trademark applications for ‘HIKU by Harper’ were filed in October 2025.

Victoria shared that Harper’s passion for skin care was born from personal struggles with acne following the use of skin care that was too strong for young skin, explaining that “she came to me two or three years ago and she was really struggling with her skin”.

Victoria said: “She used to have beautiful skin, but then, like all young girls, she was enticed by certain beauty brands, and she was putting a lot of product on her face.

“That was not suitable for her skin, and consequently ended up going to see a dermatologist because her skin was really bad.

“And I went through that journey myself. You know, I suffered with child acne, teenage acne, [and] adult acne.

“I mean, every acne under the sun – I have been there. So I could really relate to her.”

Victoria revealed Harper came to her with a presentation outlining the brand she envisioned creating, and continued: “She said, ‘I really want to create a brand because I know what I want, what I cannot find, and I do not want other people to have to go through what I have been through’.

“And she came to me with a little PowerPoint presentation, which was… about this brand that she wanted to create because she was struggling with her skin.”

Beckham added: “She [Harper] did not want other people to struggle because she saw what she had done with her skin, and ever since she was tiny, she sat on my lap.

“She loves products, she loves formulas, you know?

“She has even helped me select colours sometimes when I have been working on colour palettes [for Victoria Beckham Beauty].”

Victoria noted how Harper’s drive was born from a lack of options on the market that she felt suited young skin.

“She could not find what she wanted that would be kind for her skin, that was acne-prone, and that just did not exist,” Victoria added.

“And she said, ‘so I want to create that’.

“Look, at the same time, she is still at school, she is studying her GCSEs, but that is her passion – that is what she wants to do.

“I was so interested to hear her reason why.”

Victoria said she is keen to support her daughter as she sets out to launch her own beauty business, and added: “I can support her dreams and her passions like I can the other kids, I want to do that.

“I think there is a difference between supporting as opposed to pushing.”
